The TM1990A-F5 electronic iButton key is a top-tier analog of the renowned Dallas/Maxim DS1990A-F5 iButtons, featuring a unique 64-bit code. Specifically engineered for access control systems, each key boasts a distinct family code, permanently inscribed during production, ensuring it remains immutable.
During production, each TM1990A-F5 is assigned its own unique identification code, a mix of numbers and letters, directly on the factory line. This results in approximately 4 billion possible combinations, making unauthorized access nearly impossible. The key is immutable, non-rechargeable, and non-magnetizable, yet it can be effortlessly stored in a memory controller to manage secure access to entrances and offices.
Upon contact with the ibutton reader, the TM1990A-F5 key communicates its code to the controller, which then verifies its presence within the database. If the identifier is recognized, the system evaluates the associated access rights-potentially considering time restrictions-and commands the actuators (such as locks or relays) to operate accordingly, ensuring secure entry or exit.
The TM1990A-F5 offers remarkable advantages: ensuring 100% unique electronic keys that can vastly reduce programming costs for a large workforce. Intended for original use, not replication, it provides unmatched security. For duplication, our RW1990 copy iButtons are recommended for use with DS1990A and TM1990A keys.
